The reason for creating these hanging trains is that, the city of Wuppertal reached the top of its industrial development by the end of the 19th century. The Roads was there, but they were only used for luggage and for pedestrians. But, It was very difficult to run a train on the ground because of very less space.

Due to mountainous terrain of the area, the underground railways also could not be possible to run here too. In these case, some German engineers decided to run a hanging train. Since then, it became a very important way of public transport in the region. The well designed Kaiserwagen coach provide a very unique experience to the passengers with facilities like soft seats, decorative windows, lamps and a great designed first and second class compartments. The train service attendants also offer beverage service to make your ride very enjoyable.
