India has some of the world’s most haunted places. Many peoples in India are believe in ghosts, black magic and supernatural powers. If you are one those peoples who likes to explore horror or haunted types places then you must visit the Bhangarh Fort, which reputed one of the most haunted places in India and is listed as one of the most haunted places of the world. Bhangarh fort is not the most visited places in India and neither foreign tourists know about this place. But the place has its own reputation and considered as world’s “most haunted” place.
The Bhangarh Fort is situated in the Alwar district of Rajasthan. It was built in 17th century by the King of Rajasthan "Madho Singh". The fort is located in deserted town "Bhangarh" near the famous tourist destination of Jaipur. This town/village was established by the son of Madho Singh 'Bhagwant Das'. Today, the Bhangarh fort is deserted and nearby town/village of Bhangarh has about 200 households with a population of around 2000 people. There are many temples, shops, palaces, and courtyards, built around the fort. If a lavish fort could be built in the town of Bhangarh then this indicates that it must have been a prosperous place but sadly nothing remains of the town and the fort other than the ruins and a few temples. Today a handful of local tourists visit the place simply just because of curiosity. Bhangarh is not even advertised as a tourist destination.
The story of Bhangarh is very interesting, By the 300 year Bhangarh is thriving well. But then here's beautiful princess of Bhangarh Rani Ratnavati was said to be matchless in all of Rajasthan. At that time his age was just 18 years old eighteen years old, the princess started getting marriage Proposal from other states. In the same state there lived a tantrik, a black magician well versed in the occult, named Indus Sevdha (Singhia) who was desperately in love with the princess knowing that he would never be allowed to even see her, let alone meet her. One day, he saw the princess' maid in the market at the perfume shop and she was taking her scent of perfumes in the hands. After seeing this, he got an idea by which he could meet the princess. He used his black magic and put a spell on that perfume oil which would hypnotize the princess by her merely touching the oil, and she would surrender herself. The princess foiled this plan though. She had seen the tantrik enchanting the oil, and she therefore threw it away, whereupon the flagon rolled over a stone. As soon as the oil touched the stone, it started rolling towards the wicked tantrik and crushed him. Before dying, Indus Sevdha cursed witch that, the palace with the death of all who dwelt in it, without any rebirth in their destinies.
The very next year after the death of tantric there was a battle between Bhangarh and Ajabgarh and all people in bhangarh fort killed in this war with princess Ratnavati. After this biggest slaughtering, the souls of all killed people is still live in the fort. Thats why! no one is allowed to enter the fort area after the sun goes down. The locals people of Bhangarh tell you a several incidents where some group of students opted for a night stay in the fort, but never comes return from the fort. Therefore, strict restrictions have been imposed you have to leave the fort premises before sunset. The main entrance to the fort is locked after sun goes down, till the next morning.
The Bhangarh fort is regarded as a most haunted place and is restricted during the after-hours, but some curious peoples always try to something strange. Such a story of two guys from the neighboring district of Bhangarh, who decided to spend a night in the fort but they never returned to home. Even the local people of bhangarh feel the existence of supernatural powers in the area and believe that they are safe and protected due to the blessings from their gods for whom several temples have been built in the area.
The mystifying Bhangarh Fort has a deep connection with various legends and myths in the areas around the fort that are actually true as per the locals. These myths of Bhangarh fort attract many tourists, ghost hunters and scientists from different parts of the world to witness something paranormal. The Archaeological Survey of India has placed advisory notice board near the fort which mentioning it as a strictly prohibited area and the place will remain closed after the sunset till the sunrise. In case, if anyone found try to passing the forbidden region that will have to face strict legal actions under the archaeological act of India......
